Installation FAQ

Why does Location Guard need location permission?
Location Guard needs access to the Geolocation API so it can intercept location requests and add noise to your real coordinates before websites receive them. It never sends your location data anywhere — all processing happens entirely in your browser.
Will Location Guard slow down my browser?
No. Location Guard is extremely lightweight (less than 1 MB) and only activates when a website requests your location. It has zero impact on browsing speed, page loading, or memory usage during normal browsing.
Can websites detect that I'm using Location Guard?
Location Guard uses sophisticated noise-based techniques that make the modified location appear natural. Websites receive valid coordinates that are simply offset from your real position, making it very difficult to detect.
How do I uninstall Location Guard?
Right-click the Location Guard icon in your browser toolbar and select "Remove Extension" (Edge) or "Remove from Firefox" (Firefox). The extension will be completely removed with no residual data left behind.
